Hello everyone! Hope you're all keeping well.

I know I'm not normally the journalling-type, but I thought I'd let ye know what's going on right now.

Good news: I finished the last of my college exams yesterday. Wahay! Four years of college done! Bring on the holidays and drawin'!
Now what's the story, Rory? What's the plan, Stan? What's the agenda, Brenda?

I'm trying my hand at getting into animation, that's what!

There's a course for digital art and animation in the art school near where I live. It's a new course; only been ratified this year.

Now, I was never really taught art formally, so to help prepare, I'm applying for a year-long course that will help me build a decent portfolio geared towards the animation course. My interview happened yesterday, and I feel it went quite well.

I've also applied to a three week summer course on animation too. I'm looking forward to that.

So this leads to my question for you all: what books on animation, cartoons &c. do you recommend?
So far I just have:
- Cartoon Animation by Preston Blair
- The Animator's Survival Kit by Richard Williams
- How to Draw Cartoon Animals by Christopher Hart
- Understanding Comics and Making Comics by Scott McCloud
